Album: More Than A Woman
Artist(s): Toni Braxton
Official Drop Date: November 19, 2002
Blades: 8
Review: Well guess who’s back? Has 2002 been the year of “dig them up from old rocks and dust them” or what? From Whitney and Bobby to Stephanie Mills to Ms. Braxton. This chick has been from #1 singles to bankruptcy to marriage to motherhood and back to the studio. She does her thing w/ telling guys off and slow jams but there are some songs, or rather beats, that she could have passed on. Track #2 sounded like
nonsense to me. I almost asked for my $5 back, but I stuck w/ it.
She did her thing when she made this LP. Braxton is an artist and the majority of her LP is pleasurable. The whole thing is not be off the hook, but it is good. On track #10, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis show that they still remember Janet Jackson’s archives had some good beats. They sampled Funny How Time Flies one of my fav songs by The Whisperer. This was also during her Black
and White video, one huge loop earring w/ a key on it, dress in all black era. It was a hot song and video.
Even w/ happiness in her life she still sings about cheaters, liars, and kicking people out. Ms. Braxton also has a joint on her album proving that Jay-Z jacked her idea for the song: My Boyfriend. The whole damn thing is the same except where Jay-Z raps in place of where Toni sings. No wonder Nas lyrically sliced you. I’ll be next w/ your review son. Either way, Toni pulls out on top w/ another Christmas stuffer. She hails 8 blades for giving us nothing but Toni! ![]()

Kicking off this new segment for Bootlegged Reviews is the song Ah, Yeah! submitted by the indie artist, Flawless. This pop/dance single that has what it takes to get a party started and has a professional feel that many Indie projects lack. Coming from Queens, New York, Flawless shines on this track. 2010 has been another year where the WOS Celebs have stepped their game up in the category of bullshit, hot mess, and sloppiness. Yesterday, two WOS young bloods were in battled in another Internet War of Words. Twitter has become the "safe zone" to attack folks behind a computer and have the fans directly involved. Instant bullshit brought to everyone's and anyone's computer screens - whether asked for it or not.
