Review: From Acoustic Soul to Voyage to India, Arie’s journey brings us to Testimony: Vol.1, Life & Relationship. This talented songbird seems to simply blossom through music.

She draws us back to the mellow place of conscienceless with her Junior album. I’m Not My Hair feat. Akon is sure to be an anthem for those tired of conforming and being judged for their style of locks. Akon’s rap brings it home all things people go through just to “fit in” until they learn and decide to be themselves.

The remakes are done beautifully by a woman who can sing – a rarity in today’s market. People don’t realize that in order o do justice to a very popular song a criteria is to have a singing voice and two, to be able rework the song to fit your style while leaving it with its original dignity. If one of those two criteria is missing then forget it.

Ms. Arie has both criteria and more. 9 blades for a hot album and a style that hasn’t gotten tiresome – yet.
