Franked Up

Amy Winehouse: Frank

This British chick is all into Frank and letting him know the isses between them. When I first saw this disc I was wondering who was this new comer trying to sneak into the industry all under the radar and all.

Well she's Amy Whinehouse and she's no joke. I guess Frank really messed it up for the next man because she's tight.

Acoustically Speaking

India.Arie: Acoustic Soul

A freshman album from another member of the DBPC (Dirty Backpack Club - phrased by New York Radio Host Wendy Williams). Ms. Arie is very talented and has decided to make her first release about not being the "typical" Video girl.

With this album Arie has done a wonderful job at story telling and bringing the songs alive with her smooth voice. From Brown Skin to I Am Ready For Love the songs all catch the listening ear.

Can't wait to see what things lie ahead for is songstress. 10 blades for a job well done.

J-Loed Out

Jennifer Lopez: "This is me...Then"

Jenny, J-Lo, Jennifer, Jen from the Block is back with a doozy!

Against my better judgment & the advice of my flavor of the week, I took $5 out of their pocket & bought this. Dang kid, you were right...

Construction Completed

Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliott: Underconstruction

This was a typical Missy LP. This is another sista who can rip it. She keeps her fans
on the edge to see what else she will come out with as far as videos are concerned. Her personality reminds me of that of Busta Rhymes: always finding a new way to express themselves visually and lyrically.

Blue Curse

Jay-Z: Blueprint pt.2: The Gift and The Curse

Let me find out that it was a curse to buy this thing for $10?? Ever wonder what to do when you have too much garbage? You make a DOUBLE CD!!!! I personally don't understand, but exactly why do we need 2 CDs again? I have never met a rapper w/ such bad amnesia as Jay-Z. Why must we hear "Blueprint" throughout 2 FULL CDs?? Dang son, I thought that subliminal messages were supposed to be just that: SUBLIMINAL!! I already bought the damn thing, do you want me to remember which CD I messed up on and bought? You even had the nerve to add bonus tracks??!!!!!

Busta Danger?

Busta Rhymes: It Ain't Safe No More

Busta brings it back to the man that we all fell in love with! It seems as though he threw out the trash when he released that last major LP with Electra Records (except for Make It Clap)!

Is There Any Loyalty Left For The Crack of Joe?

Fat Joe: "Loyalty"

yellowcard Flag on the Play. Seems that someone found new beats!!! icon_cheers

Could it be that congratulations are in order? I was shocked! Someone called a trackMASTER!

Someone must have told Fat Joe that there were multiple beats in the world! Yep, they have!! This LP wasn't half bad and he even pulled out a few hits, even if they are only for the "hood." In Loyalty he goes back to his formula of comedy and vulgarity. As usual, if by the end of the CD you don't know that he's from the Bronx or represents Terror Squad, then you're not listening.

Is Toni Woman Enough

Toni Braxton:More Than A Woman

Well guess who's back? Has 2002 been the year of "dig them up from old rocks and dust them" or what? From Whitney and Bobby to Stephanie Mills to Ms. Braxton. This chick has been from #1 singles to bankruptcy to marriage to motherhood and back to the studio. She does her thing w/ telling guys off and slow jams but there are some songs, or rather beats, that she could have passed on. Track #2 sounded like
nonsense to me. I almost asked for my $5 back, but I stuck w/ it.

Charmed Back Into Clothes

Mariah Carey: Charmbracelet (UK)

Ms. Crazy I mean Carey's new release.

Could it be?? This chick is back on track?!? She's kicking orderlies all over the place!

She's been released from her custom made Straitjacket by Chanel & is back in the studio!!
She's even doing sit down interviews!! & Yes folks, there is nothing wrong with your eye sight! Someone got CLOTHES for her birthday & more for Christmas!!!!! SHE'S FULLY
CLOTHED!!!! She took it back to when she was singing on a flight of stairs singing Visions of Love, back to when we didn't know what every inch of her torso & extremities looked like!

Flashback: NKOTB Wants to Face the Music

New Kids on the Block: Face the Music

In the latest adventure New Kids On The Block re-enter the arena with the name fans have known for few years now and with a much smoother sound. After fighting to enjoy the right of growing up, the fellas greet the fans a little less bubble gum and a little more sultry and rugged.

in doing so they had to break away from old management and get fresh insight with new producers. If You Go Away is a hot track bringing a mellow beat with an absence of Uh-Ohs. Seems that the kids have officially claimed their individual and collective manhood.
