Review: Here We Go Again… Well Montell, you came onto the scene pretty strong in ’95 and then you dropped off, or got dropped… whichever way you’d like to put this… This CD was almost like his last CD… Sticking to the formula seems to be the way everyone’s going… I have to admit that there were a few cuts that are worthy to have your neighbor’s hear you blasting out of your house… Tracks #9: Don’t Think I’m A Fool’; #10: Top or Bottom (Interlude); #13: Deepest Thoughts (Interlude); #14: Are You With Me (title cut); and #16: The You In Me.
As we all know, Negros need to have at least one Spiritual on every other album to show that they realize that they can be vaporized at any moment and #16 is Mr. Jordan’s spiritual. It’s hot… He had me saying a Holy Mary/Our Father before the track was over…. It features Bishop Eddie Long and sure ’nuff it makes you feel as if it’s just a warm up for a revival…
I am trying to grow as the EDUCATED REALIST that I am and I will except the gift that was sent to me via messenger… I guess you won’t be seeing the inside of the emergency room on this one after all…
