Bottom-line: Eh, very unoriginal.

Review: Call this a remake. Call it a rip off. This film had the exact same concept that the Matthew Broderick’s film, War Games, & Shane West’s film, Echelon Conspiracy, were based on, with a taste of Terminator (all films) thrown in. A self-learning supercomputer, “Autonomous Reconnaissance Intelligence Integration Analyst” (ARIIA), deems that humans were fucking up and couldn’t be trusted so it took it upon itself to regulate and correct the situation. In doing this, ARIIA realized that it could only carry out a few directives on its own so it had to blackmail a few humans to complete some murders on its behalf.

Despite the official release date for Echelon Conspiracy, the film bounced around the web sine May 2008 and possibly earlier. How many human-made objects must viewers be trained to fear? Another film of a damn machine taking control of its destiny and the destiny of humans is getting old. Not to say that the possibilities are not there. If this was such a wild, fearful concept, then why do humans continue to advance their asses in the direction they claim to fear? Time to get down from my soap box and rate this film. 5 blades and a C- for a few “interesting” twists but no points for originality. Being that Hollywood seems to have run out of creative ideas or are stealing scripts from less creative beings, there will be no future kudos given for creativity.
