Review: The solo career of Joseph “Joey” McIntyre came together with this album “Stay the Same.” The pop tracks keep the listener engaged and his vocals bring a matured New Kid to the forefront. The title track let’s folks know that it’s OK to be yourself; a lesson that most don’t hear often as they chase the wild expectations of a faux society.

The Way That I Loved You and I Cried are a few of the ballads that McIntyre has been known for since his days as a teen heartthrob. I could have done without Let Me Take You for a Ride, but One Night made up for it with traces of The Temptations’ Imagination sampled. Because of You spoke on love from that special someone that causes a person to change their behavior and make that commitment.

I Love You Came Too Late deals with a man that realizes that his attempts of saying and showing that he loves her was a minute too late. (You snooze you loose, buddy.) So while he ponders on turning back the clock, she’s enjoying someone who wasn’t afraid to step up. 8 blades to McIntyre for not only entertaining but bringing his all on this album.
