Return of a Depressing Price

Grade: WTF?

Blade(s): 2

Bottom-line: Why even bother?

Review: Why is she so damn upset? Kelly either is in love with someone not treating her right, returning the love, or just jumped out of love. This album was on the brink of becoming a theme song for folks who want to slit their wrists. WTF? The up beat songs were lacking and the rest were songs of someone depressed. She employed Stokely of Mint Condition fame on Not My Daddy, but that song was a mess. Hopefully some happy songwriters are being contacted for the next project, if not – I think it’s time to wrap things up. Take Mary J Blige & roll out. As one of her tracks state “Keep movin’” and I highly recommend that for this project. I have enjoyed her other albums but this will be tossed as soon as this article gets published. 2 blades and a WTF for effort.
