Review: The cripple dog and Mona stole the film for me. Jennifer Lopez is back and playing the role of “doe eyes” once again. The premise of the film was great: a woman gives up on finding “Mr. Right” and opts for “Mr. As Good As It Could Get’s” sperm. After she’s artificially inseminated she runs into “Mr. Could Be.” Now the two have to figure life out with a new baby one the way and new feelings developing.

This film had its moments and one of them was the water birth. Now that mess was crazy as it made me gag and laugh at the same time. Zoe was unrealistic and pushing her own insecurities onto Stan who was beside himself trying to show her how much he loved her and wanted to be there for her and her children. The major argument that they had was beyond ridiculous and Zoe’s fault. This was a woman too caught up with her own emotions to realize that the experience was also being shared by another person. Mona was the bomb friend who spoke her mind and was not afraid to put things on the table.

The wedding was another bright spot in the film and made the hour of watching worth it. Stick around for the outtake scenes at the end of the film. Unfortunately someone thought they could slide in a J. Lo tune and it would not be noticed.

7 blades for a favorable film.

About Missy T.

(Staten Island): (Researcher Asst.; Critic; Street Reporter) I am so happy to join the gang in 2002 & for being given a chance. I got into this because there was only so much Nelly that I could listen to on KTU. I needed to see what else was out there. My friends didn’t like this new job at first, but now they can’t wait to get the newest edition or log-on online to see what’s new! My parents have gotten over the music I listen to and realize that they are simply for review. I have learned that artists who continue to state their names throughout the CD are a turn off. Either way, I can’t wait for the new year to kick off right.
