Review: On her new album, “Still Standing,” Monica has recruited the help of Ludacris with the title song where Monica gives insight on what she’s been through bother personally and professionally. The album exceeded my expectations and took me back to when I first fell in love with her. Back to “Miss Thang” and “The Boy is Mine.” A very personal and sexy album from an amazing singer who has been missed.
Some notable songs on the album include but are not limited to Everything to Me, Still Standing, Mirror, and Superman. 8.5 blades for a well put together project. This is an album that should not be ignored because it feels like an overdue apology for the last two albums that were lukewarm at best. Apology accepted Monica and welcome back.
