Bottom-line: Could be better. There may be hope yet.

Review: After a two year hiatus from the music scene we move from Jennifer Lopez to J Lo. I guess Puffy really did his thing. She’s now all “hip hopped out”. I was hoping she was resting her voice or getting more coaching; anything to strengthen her voice. My hopes have not been fulfilled.

She’s sticking with her mixed concept of remaking songs that she did into Spanish. I don’t like My Love Don’t Cost A Thing because I just don’t. I could have done without that and the video was a mess. What’s up with the dancers? They looked so disinterested. Maybe that’s what the video called for but it seemed like a mess to me.

Cariño, Secretly and Come Over were three more good tries, but I’m just not feeling this sophomore album. She’s seriously off key with so many of the songs on this thing. There were a few that could have done some great things but yet, she was singing them. Maybe there will be some money in the budget for a singer for the next project. They can have her just lip sync the videos. If C+C Music Factory can do it why not J. Lo?

The beat for Dance with Me had me going. If only I can get the vocals turned down. Hey is there an instrumental out there for this one? I can practice my Salsa moves!! I’m Real was a bit too “real” for me. That was placed on a fast track forward. Play shouldn’t be played. Someone took a few courses at the School of Whispers by Janet Jackson.

Wait, we’ve got a last minute save: That’s Not Me. It’s not a bad song but not a good singing attempt either. I think this helped with the blade save.

This album gets 3 blades and a WTF? Not better than the first but not as suck ass as I would have thought.
