Review: This is the controversial album that had the infamous Nigger reference by Ms. J “Hip Hop” Lo herself. In the remix of I’m Real she wanted to show how “real” she really was and kicked out the Nigger word. Why not? Ja Rule is on the single with her so he must have given the Negro Nod of Approval.

The question that continues to keep Negros on the opposite sides of the White Picket Fence: Should the word Nigger (no matter how it’s used) continue to be used? Within the Black community there is no clear cut answer for this. If they are confused then how can outside the ethnicity and race come to a concise understanding? Get it together and figure it out. For now, we’ll allow another boot up our asses and bop along to the beats given to us. No penalty flag on this play.

To me this album was a simple remake of crap. The first go around with these same songs was a bust so now the recruitment of rappers has been put into effect. No matter how many rappers sign up to this project it was still a waste of time. No matter how many times someone curses on the LP it was still crap gone wild. Then there was a club mix for those still trying to get into the Limelight. Whatever.

Let’s not leave out the boyfriend Puff Diddy. He and Jermaine Dupree have certainly made it the thing for producers to forget what behind the desk looked like because they are all up in the videos, and have turned into Hype Men. Along with the crapped out movie Enough we now have Alive hitting this LP. Sounds like she tried to control her voice but still, it could have been left out. This whole album could have been left out. Maybe this was a “must do” in order to get the contracted amount of LPs out and over with. She even dug up two old songs Una Noche Mas y No Me Ames from her first album. Dang, was there really no material for this thing? I think if she left it as a release of four songs it would have been more than enough. In fact, if she left it as a no release that would have even been better.

This album gets 2 blades. We are slowly losing ground. After two years I expected more but instead got two albums chock full of crap. Thanks J Lo! :high5:
