Hamilton’s Made His Point

Album: The Point Of It All

Artist(s): Anthony Hamilton

Official/Original Drop Date: December 16, 2008

Grade: B+

Blade(s): 8.5

Bottom-line: Damn good album.

Review: Good music can still be made. Anthony Hamilton has not been on the music scene for a minute and I’m missing his music. Songs like I Did It For Sho is what brought Hamilton to the forefront of the WOS and hopefully for 2011 he’ll be back better than ever. Not afraid to bring freshness to the R&B/neo-soul scene, this DBPer has made music enjoyable again. Hamilton helps bring realness back to the R&B genre without losing creativity. When folks continue to ask where the talented artists are, they need to explore the world of the Dity Backpakers (DBPers)! This 2009 album is still relevant in 2010 and will continue to be relevant for years to come. Love, regret, dedication can all be found on this project through sweet melodies and sexy, strong vocals.

Stand out songs: Her Heart, Diamond in the Rough, Please Stay, I Did It For Sho, and Soul’s On Fire. 8.5 blades and a B+ for this album. Just hoping that he’ll release another album some day.
