Review: Here we are w/ another jailbird turned singer. This album started up just like Chico DeBarge when he was released from jail. This cat is following the scenario of “bad boy” wanting to make a change and meet up w/ his girl or find a new love.

On the 3rd track he starts to tell how he’s “looking for love” in all the wrong places. This seems to be something typical in the Whirlpool. Is it me or is every artist telling listeners the same dang thing? If that’s what’s going on, then why charge $19.95 for it? To give Jah (as he is called) some credit, he does try to change his delivery up a bit.

This CD isn’t hard on the ears but this shouldn’t be heard while operating large machinery. This is something to be done w/ caution and a spliff on the side, maybe even a glass of White Wine. There are a lot of slow drown tracks and love jams. This is a cat not worried about being in love but still wants to say that he’s a man. If you want action this is the disc to put in next to Teddy Pendergrass, but program the slow jams and leave out the 3 tracks that aren’t needed. He also added a dedication to mom dukes, for all the hard work she put into rearing his narrow tail.

The best song on this has to be Lil’ Nigga Ain’t Mine (feat. Castro, Duganz, and Precise). Ever since the Maury Pulvich, Jenny Jones, Riki Lake Epidemic of paternity tests, this song was very much appropriate. It’s one thing when guys try to deny children that they know is theirs, but what’s up w/ the chicks that drag 5 guys out to take tests and none of them are pop dukes?!!??? Either way this jam was a doozy!!

21 tracks for $5 is a good deal, especially when the majority of the tracks are enjoyable. This gets 7.5 blades: same *ish, different day, different way to bring it on!
