Album: Twenty Five (3-CD)
Artist(s): George Michael
Official/Original Drop Date: November 13, 2006 (UK); April 1, 2008 (US)
Grade: B+
Blade(s): 8.5
Bottom-line: Sweet memories.
Review: Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, Freedom and Freedom ’90, Faith are just a few of the songs off the George Michael Twenty Five album celebrating not just Michael but the magic of Wham! the 80s band that was imported from England and have been one of the hottest imports since. With the incorporation of Freedom’s base notes introducing Faith, that song became a legendary hit for Michael.
This anniversary album also introduced other hits like As feat. “As” (ft. Mary J Blige), “Father Figure,” “One More Try,” and “Jesus to a child.” “Careless Whispers” and “Kissing A Fool” are two of my top favs from Michael/Wham! The releases were different, as usual, depending if they were purchased in the US or the UK. Regardless of what he does in public bathrooms, George Michael can get down on stage! B+ and 8.5 blades for great music and memories.
