Bottom-line: MUST SEE/OWN!

Review: This documentary picks up following the aging survivors of one of America’s dirty BIG secrets. As this nation (specifically Oklahoma) continues to romanticize its history, the victims of that unsexy history continue to fight for the nation to acknowledge the wrongs that were done, Japanese & Jewish people continue to get apologies and recognition for crimes done overseas, yet the Negros born, raised, hurt, and murdered on the soil of the U.S. are continuously told to “move on.”

This documentary was made for the survivors to get their voices heard and for the world to see this “great” nation in action as it continues to deny acknowledgment of wrong doing, retribution to families who were once profitable until the neglectful actions of Oklahoma’s government and its citizens, and compensation of any kind. This was one of the best and most detailed documentaries that I have seen regarding the destruction of Black Wall Street (also known as the 1921 Tulsa race Riots). To hear the TRUTH from the actual survivors is necessary as we finally can avoid the re-written lies of democracy and see how a corrupt society avoids the truth and reality. 10 blades and an A+ for this well documented piece of history.
