Yes he did: “You’s a Bitch like Zeta Phi Beta muthafucka.” A clear lyric from “Gonorrhea” off his new album, “I’m Not Human.” Since he likes to “call them as he sees them,” we’ll do the same. As I began to listen to this album in order to review it I was confronted with this lyric. I could careless about Fraternities and Sororities because of behaviors and discoveries I’ve made for a few years, but are musicians gunning for these groups now. Was there an issue between Lil’ Wayne and a Zeta?
Zeta Phi Beta is a Negro Sorority that holds dear to their slogan of ‘Finer Womanhood.’ Did any of them hear this song? How many support Lil’ Wayne financially? How many of their “brothers,” of Phi Beta Sigma support Lil’ Wayne? I know many women who proudly defend their sorority and men who do the same for their fraternity, so I’m wondering, did they support the alleged principles that their organizations stand for or was this disrespect allowed to ‘slip through the cracks?’
