Review: It’s time to check into Ace Young. He was an Idol heartthrob with a twin brother, but his talents were seriously in question. Could the guy with a golden smile make it as an artist or should he have simply hung up his microphone and remained a shower hummer.

His only studio album was one that could have been a decent seller if only most of the songs were hot enough. “Young Love” should have been left off the album, burned, and buried! That was a hot Idol mess. The few songs worth holding on to were “You Redeem Me” and “A Hard Hand to Hold.” Anything else was simply a waste of time. Like most of these new artists, Mr. Young did better on his slow jams and not by much.

If for whatever reason you happen to be on an Idol hunt, listen to the samples on the song before committing to an actual purchase. If only we could return defective digital albums. 1.5 blades and a D- for an album not needed. Perhaps he should have only released singles or an EP. Perhaps.
